Worked with Sheffield council to design and develop an award-winning board game.
Sheffield council wanted to create a board game which would help people to understand and empathise with children in care.
We created a concept around the idea of a ‘placement game’, where the goal was to reach the center of the board, and find a placement with a new family.
Along the way there are setbacks which take you further back out, away from your goal, as well as successes that take you closer, to show how difficult and frustrating the process can be for children in care.
We designed the board game and cards, and developed an innovative packaging solution that allowed the entire game to be contained in a single tube.
In 2018 the game won the ‘Children in Care Award’.
